New Board for Footgolf Sweden

Following an extraordinary general meeting, a new board has been elected to lead the effort to develop Swedish footgolf. We would first like to thank the previous board for their work over the past few years. A special thank you goes to Peter Alenbring, who has chosen to step down as a board member and president; Peter has dedicated a tremendous amount of time and commitment over the years, and we now look forward to seeing him play in more competitions without the heavy burden of responsibility on his shoulders.

Board Composition

  • Maria Cederberg – Chairperson/President
  • Lars Norberg – Treasurer
  • Henrik Tinglöf – Secretary
  • Sofie Magnusson – Board Member
  • Alexander Alenbring – Board Member

We are a board with diverse experiences and strengths, united in our desire to create the best possible conditions for the growth of Swedish footgolf.

What’s Next?

The board’s initial focus will be to organize our work by establishing working groups in areas vital to our operations. At the upcoming autumn board meeting, we will identify priority areas and appoint board members to lead the respective working groups.

In parallel, we will review issues and documentation ahead of the November annual general meeting to ensure we have a clear direction moving forward.

After that, work on season planning will begin. This includes, among other things:

  • Membership matters
  • Course development
  • Competitions and competition structure
  • Calendar and key dates
  • Communication and visibility

Our goal is to establish a stable and well-planned foundation for the upcoming season.

Our Long-Term Ambition

In the long term, the board aims to develop a strategy for how footgolf can grow and secure a stronger position in Sweden. There are great opportunities here, but the work ahead will require time, commitment, and cooperation from both the board and the members. We aim to create the conditions for more players, more competitions, more courses, and greater visibility for the sport. At the same time, we want to build a strong community where everyone passionate about footgolf feels they can help shape its development and share in the joy of the sport. We look forward to continuing to develop Swedish footgolf and taking the next steps forward together with you, the members.
